Michael Meyer is President and Co-founder of RateHighway and a long-time leader in automated rate technology for the car rental industry. Since founding the company in 2002, he has focused on building structured, scalable pricing systems that help operators move from manual decision making to disciplined automation. In 2004, he introduced RateMonitor Elite, the first automated rate management system built specifically for car rental. In 2017, he again led the industry by integrating artificial intelligence into rate management, combining rule-based discipline with adaptive AI models. His work centers on strengthening pricing process, governance, and real-world execution, themes reflected in his ICRS presentation. Before RateHighway, Michael served as President of Rate-City, a competitive pricing system for hotels that was acquired by TravelCLICK in 2003, and worked as a consultant at Microsoft Consulting Services. His technology career began in the United States Air Force as an avionics technician, where he developed the operational mindset that continues to influence his approach to automation and system design. Today, in addition to leading RateHighway, he also leads Fleet Perfection following RateHighway’s majority acquisition, expanding the focus from pricing automation to a complete fleet and revenue management picture for car rental operators of all sizes.
