Mateen Shah is a Houston-based entrepreneur and growth-driven operator in the car rental and mobility industry. He began his journey in 2016 with a single vehicle listed on the Turo platform, steadily scaling his operations through disciplined reinvestment and hands-on management. In September 2020, Mateen officially established his company, THTCars, laying the foundation for a structured and scalable rental business. By 2023, he had grown his fleet to over 50 vehicles—while simultaneously working full-time as a System/Cloud Engineer in the waste management industry. In 2023, Mateen made a strategic decision to transition from peer-to-peer car sharing into the conventional car rental space. After gaining industry insight and operational readiness, he partnered with U-Save as a franchise operator for the IAH (Houston Intercontinental Airport) market. The location officially went live in January 2025, marking a major milestone in his business expansion. Since launch, Mateen has rapidly scaled operations to a fleet of over 120 vehicles, driven by strong systems, operational efficiency, and a customer-focused approach across major online travel platforms. With a unique combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial discipline, and a clear growth vision, Mateen Shah continues to position THTCars as a scalable and competitive force in the car rental industry.
